FIRMWARE UPDATE

When a firmware update is available from Alfa Radio you can update the firmware of the

MD-01 controller. It is important to install a flash program, we do advise to use

Flash-Magic. You can find it at

Note: A firmware update file will be available at our web-site, a notification will be

made at the BIG-RAS/HR product page at www.alfaradio.ca or visit direct: our support

page:

Update Step by step:

1. Turn the MD-01 controller off

2. Set switch #8 to position OFF (back panel of MD-01)

3. Connect a serial cable to the Sub-D9-connector “COM 0” on the MD-01 and to a serial

port on the PC

4. Turn on the MD-01

5. Start Flash Magic

6. Now choose from menu options->advanced options, page Hardware Config and set

options as on the screen shot below. Close with OK and you will come back in the main

screen.
